San Martin

San Martín is located in the High Jungle of the north eastern region of the country. All its territory is located in the tropical region of Perú. The origins of San Martín go back to when the fierce Chancas, prosecuted by the Incas, came to this region and settled in a completely unknown habitat. Their men dedicated to hunting and fishing. Missionaries, soldiers, merchants, and other individuals parted enthusiastically to found new cities, establish authorities and construct European style buildings.
